Windows 7 Hilfe zu allen Windows-Betriebssystemen: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8(.1) und Windows 10 / Windows 11- als auch zu sämtlicher Windows-Software. Hallo,

hatte vor kurzen hier einiges mit euch zu tun, und mir wurde empfohlen, Windows update zu nutzen ( dachte bisher, das die Einstellung automatische updates ausreicht , aber ok ).

Jetzt ist es so, dass mein PC bei jedem Abmelden ein Update installieren will und auch versucht. Wenn ich auf der Windows-update Seite meinen Update-Verlauf anschaue, ist es immer das gleiche Update ( KB837253 ) das nicht installiert werden kann.

Scheinbar ist sowohl hinter dem Update als auch dem Fehlerzeichen in der Liste ein Link, aber es regt sich dort nichts !!

Mit dem FAQ komme ich nicht weiter, weil da immer von Fehlernummern gesprochen wird. Sowas habe ich ja nicht.
Wenn man tiefer in den Support geht, kommt sehr schnell der Punkt, an dem man nach seiner Kreditkarte gefragt wird. Also nix mit Service oder Support. Sondern gleich gebührenpflichtiger Verkauf. Scheiß Monopolist

Hat hier jemand eine Idee, ob

1. dieses Update wirklich nötig ist und

2. wenn ja wie ich es installiert bekomme bzw. wie ich es im anderen Fall hinbekomme, dass mein Rechner es nicht jedesmal sinnloser Weise probiert.

Häng doch mal die Datei windowsupdate.log aus dem Windows-Verzeichnis an.

PS: sinnvoller wäre mMn Microsoftupdate und nicht Windowsupdate.

Wommöglich eine Überlastung des MS-Servers (Update is not allowed to download due to regulation). Probiere über den Link von cad das Update manuell zu laden und von Hand zu installieren. Berichte bitte im Anschluss.
Sollte das nichts werden, lösche mal den Inhalt des folgenden Ordners und versuche es nochmal per AU oder manuell:
C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download

Edit: nope sorry, kein Downloadfehler von MS. Aber versuche trozdem mal den direkten Download und die manuelle Installation über den gesposteten Link. Wenn das nichts hilft könnte es etwas diffus werden.

Edit2: Schau mal, ob der Windows Installer Dienst richtig gestartet wurde (Start > Ausführen > services.msc > "Windows Installer"). Wenn dem nicht so ist, starte den Dienst (rechter Mausklick > Starten) und versuche nochmal das Update.
