Der Rechner verhält sich immer komischer, meistens voll angezogene Bremse, dann wieder völlig normal (meistens aber nur kurzzeitig).

Ich bekomme übrigens bis Freitag eine DVD mit SP1 drauf.

das upgrade läuft die Punkte 1 und 2 durch nachdem ich ATI Catalyst runtergeworfen ha
be, bei Punkt 3 geht es bis zum Systemneustart, dann kommt die Fehlermeldung:

Hallo Schrauber,

bei Punkt 3 des upgrade startet er ja bei der Installation der Windows-Dateien den Rechner ein paarmal neu. Beim ersten solchen Neustart bleibt er hängen, dann bricht die Installation nach einer Weile ab und der Rechner wird zurückgesetzt auf die bisherige Installation. Die läuft aber, halt entsprechend langsam, ins Internet komme ich überhaupt nicht mehr.
Vielleicht ist diese Datei auch der Grund für das ganze Schlamassel.

Mittlerweile fährt er garnichtmehr hoch, sondern bringt den Fehler gleich

Ich habe den Rechner wieder hochgefahren können. Nach einer Festplattenreparatur läuft er wieder einigermaßen, aber das in place upgrade läuft nicht durch, sondern bricht immer irgendwo bei Punkt 3 ab. Entweder kann ein Neustart nicht durchgeführt werden oder er hat einen Lesefehler bei einer Datei.
Ich trau mittlerweile der Festplatte keinen mm mehr über den Weg.
Was wäre hier das Beste? Platte tauschen und System komplett neu aufsetzen?
Wie bekomme ich meine Treiber dann runter? die Daten habe ich ja in einer Sicherung oder macht es Sinn, das ganze als Image zu sichern und auf eine neue Platte zu spielen. Windowsfehler sind aber dann immer noch da.

Einfach Windows installieren, dort sollten schon alle Treiber dabei sein. Wenn dann noch was fehlt kann man das im Nachhinein über Windows Update ziehen.

Hallo Schrauber,

habe eine neue Platte eingebaut und alles komplett neu installiert.
Der Rechner läuft jetzt wieder sauber, nur über den Wlan bekomme ich keine Übertragungsrate hin. Meine anderen Rechner liegen bei 50 bis 100 Mbit, der Toshiba bei 15 Mbit über Funk. Ich habe mir den Treiber für die WLan-Karte bei Realtek runtergeladen, er funtioniert auch ohne Fehlermeldung, nur die geringe Geschwindigkeit im Verhältnis zu den anderen Rechnern in unserem Haushalt ist auffällig.

Die Einstellung steht auf DHCP wie bei den anderen Rechnern auch.

es sind zwei andere Laptops. Bei dem Vergleich standen sie nebeneinander, also gleiche Entfernung zum Router.
Könnte es sein, dass die Netzwerkkarte im Toshiba auch einen Schuss hat oder ist es ein Treiberproblem? Wie kann ich das prüfen?
